Design Concept

The design concept for SmartFlyer was relatively simple:

Funtional, beautiful and fun!

The goal was to divide this large open loft space into areas for staff and guests to relax, touch down, gather for a meeting or play ping pong with the awesome ping pong conference table by Poppin. Poppin was specified as the furniture vendor after I did extensive research to find a vendor whose core values met with my design vision for SmartFlyer.

To provide division of space, texture, pattern and color, 3-Form was selected as the vendor to provide the partition in the space. It can be seen in action right below this description! My palette was mainly greys, white with pops of bright blue and orange to provide accent colors utilizing different materials to do so including textiles and glass accents.

• Branding was the first priority and this was accomplished by painting the wall a beautiful shade of blue and having a custom branded SmartFlyer sign made

• Work with loft space “bones” and select functional window treatments (dark grey solar shades that provide a balance of both light and privacy) as well as grey tint for concrete flooring

• Divide space into touchdown/playful/fun/congregating area with the use of 3-Form partition as its own design feature

• Include comfortable and beautiful furniture for lounge space featuring custom monogrammed pillows

• Conference table doubles as ping-pong table, foosball and popcorn machine!

• Feature actual airline seats by owner!

• Functional office furniture by Poppin- a vendor whose core values aligned with my design vision

• Each work area includes features and accents unique to the individual, as unique as their own travels!
